I'm deeply saddened to see this place go We loved dining at the Village and made our trips from Riverside county memorable ones! We truly loved their Japanese-Mexican menu and the welcoming atmosphere the owner and staff created. You will be terribly missed! Please, please, please keep us posted if a new location opens or on any new ventures! We wish the best of luck and hope to see you and taste your yummy food again soon!!

We will SO miss the Village, and the convenience of being located here in San Diego! We were customers from their openings in the beginning, through the pandemic, where the generosity and open doors policy welcomed us warmly, despite government mandates. This place is such a gem in many ways. The family-centric atmosphere always made our trips from north county feel like we weren't dining far from home. The dynamic menu offering both sushi and Mexican dishes, allowed us to savor in a variety of unique meals. Tasting my favorite - the delightful horchata, as I write this now. We look forward to witnessing the expansion of the Village and how they will continue to share their offerings & love with greater communities!

This is the place for innovative vegan food! I really loved the Baja burrito and the sauce on top of the rolled potato tacos is really good. The restaurant is huge and clean. Plenty of customer parking and the wait staff are friendly.

Upon walking in it was a little busy but we were seated quickly. Once we placed our order the food came out quite quickly. It was really delicious and fresh! You can taste every ingredient that was added with every bite. Loved the vibe of the restaurant it was nice bright, clean and a simple white look inside .

This modern restaurant beautifully decorated is spacious enough to accommodate large groups, and we were seated right away without any wait. Our waitress was friendly and attentive to everyone in our group. Every item we tried on the menu was delicious, bursting with flavor and creativity. The standout dish of the night was definitely the calamari we all loved it so much that we ordered it three more times! This is a vegan restaurant you absolutely don't want to miss; it's a must-visit for anyone, vegan or not. Highly recommended!

The Village has easily become one of our favorite vegan restaurants in San Diego! They offer both Mexican and Japanese options! What's there not to love? First the ambiance - huge, open, well lit restaurant! So much space between tables making it feel truly private. Then their menu! Quite vast in their offerings. The weekend brunch menu also has a plethora of options. You start with complimentary chips and salsa at the table. Their salsa is so perfect - I could drink it in bowls! In the vegan sushi, our favorites include the tropical roll, and volcano roll! Must try options! Pineapple and mango in a roll! Give me more please! Absolutely delicious! The sushi comes out so quickly and makes for a tasty bite. The miso soup is mild and perfect for kids! The Mexican part of the menu is amazing - so many unique options - bowls, burritos, chimichangas, crunch wraps! You name it and they have it! Our favorites here include the fajita bowl and the crunch wrap! They are very generous serving sizes too and hard to complete in one sitting! We always have left overs! They beans and veggies are so fresh and clean! They tend be milder to suit all tastes, so I always get some extra salsa on the side to spice it up! The kids menu is great too! The kids burrito is a nice size with tasty rice and beans! Our kids love coming here! The last few times we have been here, the place is barely 50% occupied. I really hope more people learn about the Village and start giving it some business. Really hope they continue to thrive. There is plenty of parking and they located in an easy to find spot. Thank you for opening in San Diego!

One of the best restaurants I've had in San Diego! @thevillagesd is a family owned business. All the food and drinks and served with love! Pictured are the: Enchiladas Divorciadas (Corn Tortillas stuffed with Potatoes/Sweet Potatoes covered by Mole and Green Salsa. Gluten free Creamy Roll (In: Tempura Carrots & Jalapeños, Cream Cheese. Top: Avocado, Green Onion, Cilantro, Eel Sauce, Ponzu) fish tacos (Corn Tortillas, Breaded Coconut, Pico de Gallo, Cabbage, Chipotle Mayo, Avocado Sauce, Sour Cream, Guacamole), Gluten free The Village Roll (In: Toma Tuna, Cucumber, Cream Cheese. Out: Tempura Trumpet Mushroom, Jalapeño, Chipotle Mayo, Sweet Chili Sauce, Eel Sauce, Green Onion, Volcano Roll, and the creamy roll). Gluten free Volcano roll (In: Cream Cheese, Avocado, Asparagus Out: Trumpet Mushrooms, Sweet Chili, Jalapeños, Sriracha, Eel Sauce, Green Onion) Desserts are Cashew based cheese cake with Raspberry sauce, chocolate chip hazelnut cookie, and brownie ! The creamy roll and the chocolate chip hazelnut cookie were amazing!! Service was great. The staff and owner were nice. We had great conversations with the owner. The ambiance was very mellow. Will definitely try this spot again and trying other things on the menu! There are two gender neutral restroom and they also have a PARKING LOT!!

This place is just so wonderful, all of their food is amazing, the service is great, and it's a really nice ambiance as well. However, for some reason it generally seems like not enough people eat here, which is so disappointing! I believe they donate all of their profits to local causes which is so nice. Maybe they need to do more to-go and delivery orders? Literally everything on their menu tastes pretty great, unfortunately we were so hungry we ate most things before we took a photo. I highly recommend their sushi rolls, but their crunchwrap and some of the other dishes are amazing too. Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Value: 5/5 Overall: 5/5

I love trying vegan spots! I ordered: CRUNCH WRAP - The portion size is huuuge! Definitely shareable. This was ok, there was something sweet that made it taste strange. If the sweetness wasn't there I feel like this would be a 10/10. Maybe with some added vegan protein or something to help with the texture THE VILLAGE ROLL - This sushi roll was a 10/10. It was similar to an elevated crunchy roll SERVICE / EXPERIENCE - Super nice & sweet service. We were here for about 2 hours & didn't feel rushed to leave either. I can't wait to come back to try their tacos!
